Fun
Just got home from a lovely day at Lake Mackintosh. We have never been to the park. My cousins Crystal and Keith met us there, along with Aunt Mary, Mom and Dad. We got there around 10 and the boys enjoyed a "ride" on the tire swing. Which made Corey feel a little sick after going around in circles numerous times. ha After Corey recovered we went and walked along the lake and headed towards the paddle boats, canoes, and kyaks. We decided that the paddle boats would be a good choice of entertainment. Aaron and mom went to find out the info. The decision was made to eat lunch first and then head out on the lake. We enjoyed a nice picnic with the view of the lake. A nice breeze came along while we were eating. Once we finished eating we headed out in our paddle boats for a time of fun and sweat! It was so hot and the life jackets did not help. The boys had never been in a paddle boat so they did not mind the heat. They never complained about being hot. They were having too much fun. :) A duck family was enjoying the nice day until we decided to bother them. A few of them got in the water for a swim which led to my boat and my cousins boat chasing them. We had them until Aaron ran us into a rock! On his behalf it was under the water and he thought we would make it over it. Poor ducks had to be tortured. I have to say that it was a nice way to enjoy our weekend. Especially since the boys first day of school was Thursday. They have not offered much info about second grade. They said it was just like first. Little do they know what is coming! I am sure that once school gets going they will be able to tell me all about the differences in the grades.
